2010 Mulled Metheglyn

20% Alcohol and it only gets better with age. Made from Alberta Honey and seasoned with mulling spices.

This is a wonderful brilliant straw colored mulled metheglyn. It has a very mild smell when first brought to your senses, tasting it doesn’t bring any intense flavors but the smooth aged hints of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and a hit of star anise nestled in an overall sweetness that isn’t overpowering. Though there is little punch in this drink it should not be taken lightly, the alcohol hides amongst the spices to give a stronger effect then you tasted. The aftertaste sits on your tongue pleasantly with cinnamon and cloves blushing through your mouth.

This drink is lovely served cold as a sophisticated desert/ice wine. I have also had great success with serving it hot as a warm comfort drink.
